Welcome to the IEEE International Conference on Multimedia Information Processing and Retrieval, IEEE MIPR 2026, in the enchanting city of Bangkok, Thailand! We are delighted to have you join us at this prestigious event, where prominent experts, academicians, innovative professionals and practitioners, and international collaborative work specialists come together to shape the future of multimedia information processing, retrieval, and AI-driven innovations.
Bangkok, the City of Angels, offers a unique setting for our conference. With its spectacular landscapes of golden temples, vibrant river life, bustling markets, and modern skyline, this dynamic metropolis is not only the gateway to Southeast Asia’s cultural richness but also a hub for cutting-edge technology and global connections. While you are here, we encourage you to explore the unique charm of Bangkok as this captivating city offers something for everyone—from serene temple visits and authentic street food adventures to world-class shopping and thriving nightlife. Besides the technical program, we will have an excellent social program that includes activities designed for everyone. Please make sure to stay tuned for updates on our exciting pre-and-post-conference tours coming soon.
Our theme for this year’s IEEE MIPR conference is “Multimedia Intelligence for Sustainable Futures,” reflecting our commitment to pushing boundaries and fostering collaboration across diverse fields, with a special emphasis on applications in health, environment, security, and sustainability.
IEEE MIPR 2026 continues the tradition of excellence established in previous editions, including the highly successful gatherings in Silicon Valley (San Jose, CA), where innovation thrives amid the heart of global technology. Building on that legacy, MIPR 2026 is proudly hosted in Asia for the first time in Thailand, bringing fresh perspectives from the region’s rapidly growing multimedia and AI ecosystem.
During the conference period, August 5–7, 2026, you will have the opportunity to engage with distinguished plenary speakers, talented tutorial organizers, and expert workshop planners and to participate in thought-provoking oral and poster sessions, connecting with peers who share your passion for discovery and excellence. In addition, we invite you to take advantage of our top-notch industry program that includes panels, keynote speakers, forums, demos, and more.
The Organizing Committee, led by Mahidol University—ranked #3 globally for SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) in the THE Impact Rankings 2025—works diligently to craft a high-level scientific and social program for IEEE MIPR 2026 that will harmonize outstanding science, engineering, and cross-cultural interactions. We are grateful for the technical co-sponsorship of the IEEE Computer Society and IEEE Thailand Section.
The Organizing Committee members of the conference look forward to welcoming you in person in Bangkok in August 2026.
