Multimedia Intelligence for Sustainable Futures
The 2026 IEEE International Conference on Multimedia Information Processing and Retrieval (MIPR
2026) will be held in the vibrant city of Bangkok, Thailand. After successful editions in Tokyo
(2023) and Singapore (2024), and building on the momentum of MIPR 2025 in Silicon Valley
(“Multimedia Intelligence in the Age of AI”), MIPR 2026 returns to Southeast Asia with a renewed
focus on how multimedia technologies can drive sustainability, health, environmental monitoring,
security, and equitable access to information.
Hosted by Mahidol University—ranked #3 globally for SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) in the
THE Impact Rankings 2025—MIPR 2026 proudly aligns with the United Nations Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) and highlights Thailand’s leadership in building a healthier, greener,
and more inclusive future through multimedia innovation.
IEEE MIPR 2026 continues to be a premier forum for researchers, practitioners, and industry
leaders to present cutting-edge advancements in multimedia retrieval, processing, analysis, and
applications. The conference features plenary keynotes, tutorials, workshops, industry demos,
spotlight oral sessions, and a rich social program in the “City of Angels.”
New Initiatives for MIPR 2026
- Spotlight Oral Sessions for top papers with exceptional novelty/maturity
- Extended journal track via IEEE Open Journal of Signal Processing (OJSP)– up to 10 pages
- Fast-track invitation of top papers to IEEE Transactions on Multimedia (T-MM) and other CS
journals
- Open Preview on IEEE Xplore® (free access 30 days before and during the conference)
Submission Options
1. Regular Conference Paper
- Up to 6 pages (technical content) + 1 page references
- Accepted papers published in IEEE Xplore® with Open Preview
- Top 5% invited to Spotlight Oral Sessions and fast-track journal submission
2. IEEE Open Journal of Signal Processing (OJSP) Track
